Kevin J. Leahy
President & Chief Executive Officer
Kevin J. Leahy, Executive Director holds a Master’s in Education from Antioch College and has over 30 years of clinical, management and leadership experience in the field of disabilities, human services and higher education. He has held the position of Executive Director at the Cooperative for Human Services since 2000. His past experiences include serving as President of the Kent County Rhode Island Arc, Chief Executive Officer of FOR Community Services in Chicopee, MA and Principal of Acclaim Management & Training Solutions. Kevin is also a past president of the MA Council of Human Service Providers and the MA Association of Rehabilitation Providers.
Janice Ellis-Ballerini, LMHC
Janice Ellis, Director of Clinical Support Services, is a MA Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a M.S. in Counseling and Psychological Services. She has over 20 years of experience providing therapeutic, counseling and clinical services to individuals with special needs. Janice manages the following services for CHS individuals: Intake, Assessment and Placement; Counseling and Mental Health; and Behavior Management (Applied Behavioral Analysis). She also oversees the training of all staff in implementing CHS Positive Behavioral Supports Systems; develops partnerships with local, community mental health providers for individuals served; and develops new clinical and educational supports needed.
Director, Human Resources, Quality Assurance and General Counsel
Krysla Gregoriades, Director, Human Resources, Quality Assurance and General Counsel has broad multi-industry experience in human resources, management, operations and the legal field. Areas of expertise include employee relations, workforce planning, training, change initiatives, risk management and regulatory compliance. Krysla directs the Human Resources Department and is responsible for development and implementation of HR initiatives, labor relations and legal compliance.
Chief Financial Officer
Glen Charney, Director of Administration and Finance is an accountant with nearly 25 years of experience working as a chief financial officer for non profit organizations in Massachusetts. Glen is a general accountant who is highly experienced with non profit budgeting and government reporting. He oversees all contracts and billing with government funders, private vendors and consultants, as well as, all risk management, payroll and financial systems for the organization.
Director, Organizational Development
Rebecca Sarvela has over 20 years of clinical, programmatic and administrative experience in the non-profit sector. She leads the company’s organizational development, technology initiatives, data collection and analysis and assists the Executive Director with strategic planning and outcome measure reporting.
Director of Operations
Gale Alles is a senior leader with broad management experience in the healthcare, consumer marketing, real estate and technology industries. She is responsible for operations and marketing across the organization and identifies new business opportunities and partnerships.
Director, Individual Supports
Mark Huntington, Director of Individual Support Services, has a Masters degree in Public Health and over 25 years of experience in the health and human service field. Mark is highly experienced in supporting individuals and developing group programs to provide services for vulnerable populations both in the United States and East Africa. Mark directs the operations and management of Individual Support Services for the Northeast Region of Massachusetts.
Facilities / IT
Ed Napier, Director of IT and Physical Plant Services has nearly 20 years of experience at CHS overseeing maintenance and repairs to all residences and program sites. His expertise includes a comprehensive knowledge of all State and Federal health, accessibility and safety requirements; he oversees capital building projects and subcontracts for landscaping and other maintenance and construction work. Ed also directs all IT operations, including computer hardware and software operations, computer networking, data backup and storage operations.
In addition, most of our managers have been with CHS an average of 8 to 10 years. Many of our managers worked their way up to managerial positions by virtue of their exemplary work, dedication and commitment to the individuals we serve.
