Intellectual, cognitive and other related developmental disabilities affect more than 7.2 million people nationwide. In Massachusetts, more than 120,000 people are diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Many of the causes of these disabilities are unknown and oftentimes cannot be prevented.

The Cooperative for Human Services, a local non-profit organization, was founded in response to the needs of people with intellectual, developmental and other related disabilities living within our community.  For 30 years, we have been helping people with disabilities and their families to access our quality programs and support services—services that foster community inclusion and membership for everyone.

As a non-profit community organization, Cooperative for Human Services receives the majority of its funding through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  However, these resources are limited.  Year after year, the Commonwealth struggles to meet its obligation to some of our most vulnerable citizens.  Now, more the ever, your financial contribution is crucial to meeting the needs of people with disabilities.
